People of God, if Christ had not risen from the dead, what would have happened to the sick, the afflicted, and the oppressed? What will be your hope? Christ in you is the hope of glory. The punishment that brought us peace was upon him. This means the hour of Christ’s death was the beginning of his glorification and our redemption. It was foretold that when he should come to save us, the blind would see, the lame would walk, the deaf would hear and the dead would be raised to life. The greatest book on earth is the word of God. We should read it systematically, regularly, and expectantly because our lives depend on knowing it. To better understand the resurrection power of our Lord Jesus Christ, fill your prayer with the scriptures because words spoken in harmony with God’s words work wonders.
The book of Acts is not mere history, but a pattern of what Christ wants his church to be today. The church is not mere fun and games. If it were so, satan would continue to enslave us and make us the dumping ground for his sicknesses and diseases. I want to tell you that you have resurrected in your health, your finances, your career, your marital life, etc. today because Christ has risen. The resurrection power provides every true child of God a piece of conscience that produces, ease of heart, internal joy, security, and assurance of life. A steadfast look at the crucified one will never look in vain at the great physician. The Bible says, ‘By his stripes, we are healed.’
