Works of Charity

We all know ‘charity’ is acts of giving, works of charity should be given carefully and cheerfully in thought and design. That is, it takes the grace of God to give cheerfully. In other words, no one can give cheerfully unless he is given the grace to do so. When you give something cheerfully, you are called to do so, you are anointed to give. To give cheerfully is to give according to God’s will that is, according to God’s commands. Those whom God calls for any services, He will make fir for it. When you are called to give, you will give cheerfully. When you are called to help, you will help cheerfully.

  1. As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” – Luke 21:1-4
