The WORD with Senior Apostle John Chi
Message title / titre du message:LET YOUR HEART RISE
Proof text/ text de reference: Colossians 3:1-10
People of God, personal fulfilment in life comes through the continual process of learning through positive and negative experiences. Positive examples and motivation for success while negative examples and movitivators for failure. Though money and wealth are useful supports in man’s life, the bible advises us not to put our confidence in them. The rich man in the bible was outwardly rich but inwardly poor because he put his confidence on his material wealth and doomed to destruction. A focus on materialism can divert your attention from God Almighty to the God of wealth. One can be poor and yet be a candidate of heaven. A man can be sick in body and be a friend of God. Man’a rejection provokes God’s direction. Are you barren, ask Sarah, Rachel, etc. and they will tell you that to delay is not denial. That miracle in your life can be delayed not denied. The slow movement of a tiger is not a mistake but a calculated accuracy. Waiting for God’s time is always the best. A Christian must be careful of what they hear because what they hear or read can affect his thought. Let this be subject to the gospel. Find out what God has to say. When negative thought come and persist to stay, resist them and they will disappear. Do not be a Christian who is controlled by satanic devices. Which are some of these satanic devices? In Matteuw 4:1, the temptation of Jesus Christ in the wilderness gives us a picture of who satan and his devices are like. REmember the tempter came to Jesus and not the other way round. Satan will come to you through fear and doubts by manipulating the truth in order to create fear in your hearts. So, you should not ignorant of his devices. Satan will come and put a sensational display of power. Satan said “IF YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD….”. Satan knew that Jesus was the son of God but will always want to doubt our dependence on God. By defeating Satan, Jesus Christ gave us a battle plan on how to deal with the devil. Victory obtained through Christ is already there for those who recognise it. Victory in Christ is victory indeed. The rest is history.
