Prophecy

Prophecy never came by the will of man but holy men spoke as they were carried, as they were moved not by man but by the Holy Spirit. This means the gift of prophecy was absolutely necessary before the various Books of the New Testament were collected and distributed among the various churches. If not, there could be no Bible. It is not history. When you are reading the Bible, you are not reading about events, you are reading the Holy Spirit Himself. Prophecy does not refer to the prophecy of things unheard and unknown but of things both announced and known. That is prophecy. It is not just predicting or prophesying future events but preaching with power.

Romans 12:6-8 says, ”Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching, he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
